Theme: Dear World Leaders: How You Can Help Us Shape the Future

In this topic, children and youth have the opportunity to address world leaders directly through a letter, sharing their thoughts and concerns about the most pressing global issues. This letter-writing exercise encourages young participants to reflect on the challenges they believe will shape their future and offers them a chance to propose actionable solutions, amplifying their voices on a global stage.

COMPETITION RULES

  • Compositions must be in the form of a letter and contain the elements of a letter (heading, greeting, body, complimentary close, signature line and postscript (optional).
  • Entries must adhere strictly to the theme and not exceed 1000 words in the original language. Submitted letters must be through the entry form and high-quality picture of the winner.
  • Letter can be handwritten or typed The letter must be on a single side of an A4 sheet of paper, using your best handwriting or typed.
  • Entries should be handwritten using a fountain pen or any other type of ink pen, such as a rollerball or ballpoint pen. No other mediums (such as pencils or colored pencils) should be used.
  • Doodles, drawings, border designs, and simple artwork are permitted provided they do not affect or cover up the content of the letter.
  • Letters must be scanned clearly, the right way up using a printer/scanner or phone scanner – no photos. Complete all sections of the online entry form, attaching your scanned handwritten letter in PDF format .
